The history
There are several people in the church who have written about the history of Betel. And these pages are by no means finished yet. I am still looking for old pictures that show the younger ones how the development has been. The congregation has built meetinghouses twice, and before that the congregation gathered in their homes.
The oldest note that I have had access to is the report from the dedication of old Betel in 1911. It was written by the speaker at this party; Johannes Hedin.
Hans Rusten has written about the history of the Betel congregation from the end of the 1800s. The former magazine Det Gode Budskap has published a report from the dedication of new Betel in 1973.

Here are the parents of Hans Rusten who got married in 1914. Johannes Hedin is also in the picture. He was the one who spoke at the dedication of the old Betel in 1911.

This newest picture is of the new Betel from February 1974. As you can see, they haven't painted the window frames or the boards on the wall yet.
If you have old pictures or old notes or documents that tell the story of the Betel congregation, I am interested in scanning them and posting them here. This way they reach a wider audience, and the younger ones can have the opportunity to study history.
